Julie is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Nutritionist and Lymphoedema therapist. Her training - Registered Nursing (Curtin University), Midwifery (KEMH), Nutrition (IFM, ACNEM, Bio individualized Nutrition, Health Academy), Lymphoedema (Macquarie University), Wound management (Macquarie University) and recently completed Scar therapy. She has a love of learning and continues to increase her knowledge base at any opportunity.

She has been fortunate enough to have a wide and varied career, working across hospitals, communities and medical centers. Julie currently still works in medical centers and also works in her own private practice.

After dealing with her own health challenges Julie utilized functional medicine and nutrition during her own healing journey. Chronic ill health led to treatment overseas, as answers couldn’t be found here in Australia. Overseas treatment thankfully enabled optimal health outcomes and now she has integrated what she has learnt overseas into her own practice.

Lymphoedema therapy, wound management and scar therapy are her latest qualifications after noticing people were slipping through the gaps, with difficulties accessing support or treatment for lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is a condition that can be a reminder of a tough health journey someone has experienced and requires a caring gentle approach. Scar therapy offers unique techniques to improve the underlying issues of a scars. Pre and postoperative support for wound management can offer extra support around your medical team appointments.

Julie understands the challenges that comes with illness and therefore aims to provide a honest, evidenced based, supportive service to help your own healing journey.
